Une revue de la littérature exhaustive en 2005 avait permis de recenser 44 scores d'évaluation de l'épaule. Trois échelles ont retenu l'attention des auteurs : ce sont le Disabilities of the arm shoulder and hand scale (DHASH), le score de Constant, et l'Indice fonctionnel uniformisé (IFU).
Si l'examen clinique est indispensable, l'utilisation d'outil d'évaluation connu et utilisé par tous permet la comparaison des résultats obtenus et la mise en place de stratégies thérapeutiques adaptées.
An exhaustive review of the literature in 2005 detected 44 scores for the evaluation of the shoulder. Three scales drew the attention of the authors: Disabilities of the arm shoulder and hand scale (DHASH), Constant score, and Indice fonctionnel uniformisé / Uniformised Functional Index (IFU).
Although a clinical examination is indispensable, the use of an evaluation tool that is known and used by all allows for comparison of the results obtained and the establishment of adapted therapeutic strategies.
