L'étude attentive du cliché transbuccal permet de déceler d'éventuelles asymétries. Celles-ci ne doivent pas conduire à des conclusions trop hâtives, les déplacements" de l'atlas et de l'axis étant rares.
Une impasse thérapeutique et un cliché suspect de cette région cervicale doivent alerter le kinésithérapeute. Les tests de mobilité de la jonction cranio-rachidienne, les traumatismes cervicaux anciens ou récents sont à prendre en considération.

A careful study of the trans-buccal slide helps detect any possible assymmetry. This should not lead to hasty conclusions since "shifts" of the atlas and axis are rare.
A therapeutic dead-end and a suspicious slide of this cervical region should alert the physiotherapist. The tests of mobility of the cranio-spinal junction and former or recent cervical traumatisms have to be taken into account.
