Muscular reconditioning and chronic lumbodynia
Based on the statistics for voluntary muscular strength in a control population obtained on 9 musculation stations, the authors compared those found in 42 patients suffering from chronic lumbodynia (17 women and 25 men paired as to age) benefiting from a programme for the functional restoration of the spine (RFR)
After 5 weeks, a very significant increase was noted in the muscular performance of the patients in the 9 movements tested although most of them were found to be inferior the control values (p < 0.01).
